Hello - Just for context I'm comfortable with embedded systems but have not used

Arduino for several years.

Is anyone running Arduino 1.8.7 (which I assume is still required) on Linux and building from there?

I can use a Mac (Catalina 10.15) box if necessary but if it has worked for someone else

using LInux/Arduino I'll try that first.
